Including Sloane Ashford's.

She's got the knowledge, she's got the drive, and if she can land Trey, she knows she's got her 'in'.

But it's hard to keep your eyes on the prize when the sweetest, sexiest smile you've ever seen is constantly on your mind. When the hottest hands in the nation are in your hair. When you're whispering the name thousands of fans are screaming at the top of their lungs.

Pretty Good!
By Amazon Customer
A pleasant surprise. Smartly-written, great pace and very witty banter. I actually liked her female character and the supporting cast, e.g. Hollis and the football players like Colt and Matthews far better than Trey himself, but that's okay. Makes for a nice change to be fan-girling the heroine!

Ms. Ward is a very talented writer-- definitely not your average romance B-level writer. My only "meh" in an otherwise fun book was that the sex was well... non-existent to boring. It's more eluded to than anything and frankly, when you're looking for romance, there's an aspect of "chick porn" we're all kind of hoping for since this is a brief, sexy respite from our own normal regular sex lives. It's like daydreaming about a hall pass with one of the Hemsworths or Morris Chestnut. Don't get me wrong, sex doesn't need to be Maya Banks/Shayla Black smutty, but it needs to be... well, better than what you get here which is disappointingly absent. I think if Ms. Ward can remove the governor off her sex-engine, her relationship-mances would get A++ across the board. Otherwise, I'd say she's right up there with Penny Reid, Alice Clayton or any other best-seller right now.

"Play With Me"
By Steph *Book Addict*
Ms. Ward continues to prove why she is one of my favorite authors. When I heard she was writing a new series I was excited. Add a sports theme with hot football players, and you've got me counting down the days until it's release. Lucky for me I was able to get an early copy of this book and let me tell you I loved it.
Right from page one I was immersed in the story of Trey and Sloane. The progression of not only the storyline but the romance was done perfectly and not once felt cheesy or over the top. These two struggled with their feelings and often denied what they truly wanted.
Sloan is such an incredible heroine; She was bold, sarcastic and didn't take crap from anyone. I adored her. She takes her job as an agent very seriously and I respected her a lot by the end of this book. Tracey has a great talent to write amazing heroines and Sloan became one of my favorites of hers. Total girl crush!
Trey isn't just your typical jock but has a big heart and puts everyone he cares about (including his teammates) above himself. The struggles he faced I could really relate to from personal experience and knowing how hard that is to go through. His life isn't just about making money and getting girls (although he does that lol) but making a living to take care of the ones he loves. How could you not fall for this guy?!
The supporting cast was one of the best things in this story.
Hollis in particular is my favorite and I really, really hope Ms. Ward writes a story for him. If not to get more scenes with him and Sloan. Their exchanges were hilarious.
As you can see from this long review I loved Rookie Mistake. It truly has it all; sports, romance, humor and of course angst. I can't wait for more in this series and can't recommend this or Tracey Ward's books enough. 5 Stars!

A mistake
By lemonade lady
I think reading this was a mistake for me. I read Sugar Rush first and I liked it. I mistakenly thought I would like this one too but I didn't.
It is so full of football draft info and angst. I'm totally not into any of that. A little would have sold me on this being a football romance story. Sigh. Too much, just too much of the story devoted to this.
However the real issue for me is that there is more about them having sex with others than there is about the relationship between them. How anyone could think this would make a satisfying romance story is beyond me. By 67% Trey and Sloane have been together once. Once. But we've read about both of them screwing around with multiple others. Gah! In one instance he flirts with and excepts a stewardess' number while on the plane with Sloane. What??? Yup. He did. He didn't follow through but he was going to. The writer didn't delve into Sloane's reaction to that. She didn't need to. I had my own reaction.
I stopped reading to zip back here to leave this review. They are currently talking about how they think of each other as they have sex with other people. Trey says "all those other girls" , ALL those others!!!
OMG, and this is a romance about Trey and Sloane. I give up. I can't even. I'm done.
