In the face of the constitution’s exclusionary language, all parties gave their compromise a legal form which was frankly unconstitutional, but unavoidable if Jewish children were to have access to public schools. Bargaining in the shadow of the law, they made their own constitution long before the formal constitutional amendment of 1997 finally put an end to the issue.

In Honorary Protestants, David Fraser presents the first legal history of the Jewish school question in Montreal. Based on extensive archival research, it highlights the complex evolution of concepts of rights, citizenship, and identity, negotiated outside the strict legal boundaries of the constitution.

An excellent textbook. Conveys difficult pieces of information in a manner that is light and friendly; especially to students who are relatively new to the subject. I enjoy how the book takes an integrated approach to learning; navigating the reader towards different chapters that have relatable scientific information. Sokar Salam, student, University of Bradford I found the layout of the textbook made it much more user friendly than others and would make the transition to University work much easier and less daunting. About the Author

Dr. Jill Barber studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and completed a PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry at the same university in 1980. She then spent five years in some of the oldest universities in Europe, learning Biochemistry, German, and Renaissance Music. She settled in Manchester in 1986, with a permanent position in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research focuses on drugs that inhibit protein synthesis and she teaches chemotherapy and its underlying chemistry and biochemistry. She has published several teaching-related research papers about the factors influencing student success.

Dr. Chris Rostron graduated in Pharmacy from Manchester University and completed a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at Aston University. He gained Chartered Chemist status in 1975. After a period of post-doctoral research he was appointed as a lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at Liverpool Polytechnic. He is now an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University. He was a member of the Academic Pharmacy Group Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and chairman for five years. He is currently chairman of the Academic Pharmacy Forum and deputy chair of the Education Expert Advisory Panel of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. He is an external examiner in Medicinal Chemistry at a number of schools of pharmacy both in the UK and abroad. In 2008 he was awarded honorary membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain for services to pharmacy education.

Excellent mid-level book on the subject

This is not a how-to manual but more of a list of strategy improving advice on tackling multi-pitch routes. It includes tip starting from the usual gear, belaying and rapelling to the more advanced topics of simulclimbing and soloing.

There aren't many books out on the market like this. Most experienced rock climbers have to buy beginner books just for a couple of helpful tips that apply to our experience level. This book speaks to those who have been climbing awhile. Filled with helpful tips and simplified processes for accomplishing climbing tasks. As an instructor of intermediate level climbers I go to this book again and again for new insights or helpful ideas to make the climbing process simpler and more efficient. Honestly the authors are severely underpricing this book.

A great read to up your multi-pitch game!

It's hard to find good discussions of multi-pitch climbing that present tactics and techniques that one can actually use. This title does this, drawing on great climbers' experiences. Be comfortable overlooking some typos--in the Kindle version at least-- they don't detract from the value of the text. A great read for intermediate multi-pitch climbers who want to up their game!

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase. Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had �ber quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head. Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window. She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss, and quit her job. Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again). So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author. Weird

This was just a strange book to me. I wish that it had gone one way or another. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it. It was a little soft at times but I thoroughly enjoyed, what I deem, an accurate drug addiction/recovery. I liked the growth Jules went through. Loved the meek little girl to bad a$$ potty mouth in the end. And I loved Kade.

But, like i said. I wish the genre went one way or another. I love contemporary romance and pnr but it didn't mesh well (for me) in this book and I have way more questions that have not been answered.

I will probably read Sabin's book. He's my favorite type of character..broody and alpha. I'm really hoping for a part 2 or answers in Sabin's story.

Even given the little disappointment I felt with unanswered questions and the cross genre I am not sorry I read it.

Disappointed. I like the first 2; expected Kade to have his own story. Kade was front and center; heroine not so much. Did not like that she used it to introduce a new paranormal series. That is not what I wanted from this book. There are 2 distinct endings from which to choose. I read both. Please note, if you want the entire contemporary ending; there is a chapter after the alternate ending. I just ordered after reading the first 2 on my Kindle; did not read reviews.

What A Wild Ride!!

Well, the Hart Brothers books end. Boo! I'm still sad I didn't read the first two books about Kolston's life, but like I said in the Kestrel book review...you get all of his story recapped. So I find it pointless.

Soooo, first off this book was a great read! Very different than Kestrel and I'm assuming Kolston's stories. Kade is less Alpha than his brothers, but I did not take that as weakness. He's every bit a protector and sexy beast with a dirty mouth. Juliette was a great h! She goes through an unbelievable tragedy in the very beginning of this book, and goes from shy and scared of her own shadow (literally.. Wink wink) to becoming a fully grown up, opinionated, kick ass woman!! Sexy times we're awesome! They both have a somewhat inexperienced sexual past and when the first few sexy encounters they have are sort of fumbled and all over the place, I found endearing!! Not EVERYONE is a professional sex machine straight out the door, but most authors seem to have that idea... Whatever....

So the last part of the book is like..no, not like.. IS a "Pick Your Adventure". Remember those from elementary school? Anywho- the author left a pretty adamant note not to divulge any info. Overall, the book was a solid 4.5 star book. The last 15% of the book is where it gets a little WTF, but I liked it! Overall I really enjoyed this book. There is going to be a spin off coming off the heels of this last book and I will be looking forward to reading more of AM Hargrove in the future!!

About the Author
Stephen I. Glover is a partner in the corporate department of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP's Washington, D.C. office. He has written and lectured frequently on a variety of corporate and securities law topics. Mr. Glover is a member of the D.C. Bar's Board of Governors and former co-chair of its Corporation, Securities and Finance Law Section. He has also served as a member of the New York Tribar Opinion Committee. He is a member of the advisory boards for Mergers & Acquisitions Law Report and The M&A Lawyer. Mr. Glover graduated from Harvard Law School in 1980, clerked for Judge J. Skelly Wright on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit during the 1980-1981 term and clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall on the United States Supreme Court during the 1981-1982 term.
