Thorough and descriptive along with illustrations that demonstrate technique. Very good reference for trainers who will value the way the author simplified the information enough to make it easily conveyed to our clients as well.

I used this book to help me study for my ACE exam. It echoed a lot of the same information, which was helpful since it simply reinforced everything I was already learning about. I also appreciated the chapter on exercise technique since that wasn't addressed in detail in my ACE studies. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is due to the numerous typos. Hopefully these will be fixed if a third edition is made.

A Must-Have for all Trainers!

This book is a must have for learning and understanding the exercise science every personal trainer needs to know. It also taught me how to realistically help the wide variety of clients I have that all have different goals and needs. This book helped me feel confident when dealing with so many different client age ranges, diets, special medical needs, and answering their questions.
