A good place to start The Daniel Fast

This is a fairly thorough explanation of The Daniel Fast. The author, Marissa Pavone, does a great job of explaining the Daniel Fast Diet including: it's origin, the things you need to do to follow the plan, and the things you need to avoid while living this new life style. The plan focuses on your body, soul and spirit which gives a rounded out and complete approach to the lifestyle.
There is a 21 day "detox" that rids your body of toxins, starts to give you more energy and prepare for The Daniel Fast Diet. The book makes sure you have a good understanding of what to expect.
All the preparation is a good portion of the start of the book but it is well written and gave me the confidence I need to start the Daniel Fast Diet. Then come the recipes which are all delicious sounding and list the ingredients and directions. Most of the desserts require easy to obtain ingredients and can be prepared fairly fast.
If you have any interest in the Daniel Fast this book provides the education and recipes to get you started. Even though this is a dessert book it is a reasonable place to learn and give the Daniel Fast a try. Honey, maple syrup, and agave are not Daniel Fast friendly

This book includes great recipes, however, ingredients such as maple syrup, honey, and agave nectars are not permitted on the Daniel Fast. If you are looking for healthy desserts, get the book, if you want a book to use during your fast, this isn't it.
